The Wood Slide enhances your cooking experience and enjoyment of the fire by automatically feeding firewood into the fire chamber of your Bushbox LF. There's no need for constant wood additions; simply feed longer branches from the start and focus on cooking or relaxing by the fire.
The „Wood Slide Bushbox LF and XL “ in detail
- The Wood Slide is easily inserted through the fuel window at a slight angle and then positioned horizontally (see photos).
- You can adjust the angle of inclination with the attached chain by hooking it into the groove for the Universal Grate on both sides at the top. For longer and heavier branches, a steeper angle (shorter chain) ensures the wood slides easily and the Bushbox remains stable, preventing accidental tipping.
- Light your Bushbox fire as usual and add the appropriate amount of fuel. Once the fire starts, you can add wood through the Wood Slide. The wood will automatically slide in as the fire burns, so you don't need to constantly add burnable material. Meanwhile, you can prepare food on the Bushbox using our Trivets or Universal Grate.
- Alternatively, if the angle is very flat, you can use the Wood Slide as a small platform to keep your drink warm.
- Caution: The chain is designed to withstand high temperatures, even when hanging in the combustion chamber. However, never touch it with bare hands when hot. Always wear gloves.
- Note: Occasionally, you may need to manually nudge the wood further in to ensure it burns evenly and does not accidentally ignite outside the Bushbox.
